My big question is should I start Cahill over Cueto (pitches against the Mets now instead of Pitt)?

For this year, Cahill could see something like 130IP, 9 Wins 4.43 ERA, 1.38 WHIP 108k.

These are conservative estimates but generally rookie 5th starters get treated with the kid gloves. Also I like Cueto slightly more than Cahill for this next start because I know more about what Cueto can give rather than what Cahill can in his first start.

Nice to see you back ;-D

Cahill pitched 124.33 innings in the minors last year, so 150 innings is what I predict w 120 Ks, ERA around 4.00 and WHIP in the mid 1.30s.

I'm going to take a pass on Wednesday. Chris Volstad is owned in too many leagues. Nick Adenhart is possible but to me he needs to start showing he can get over the Major League hump before I recommend him. Definitely someone to watch though. So, unless you would like to roll the dice with Walter Silva, a pitcher straight out of the Mexican League, you should pass like I did on Wednesday. Open to suggestions though.

Nick Adenhart's passing is a real tragedy. The kid had real promise. It's a sad day for baseball. RIP Nick Adenahrt.

good to see you back, perlick!

I was thinking about picking up Zito, and decided to come over here to see if that famous spot starter thread was back this year.

Picked up Zito and i have Anderson, so big day for me. Not sold on Scott Lewis yet, though. Especially since I think Toronto's offense is underrated this year. love the thread.

I picked up Zito and currently am the laughing stock of the league. We will see how it goes!

the Padres team is like a AA squad right now. AND it is in Petco... of course he'll probably put up a Pavano-esque performance now.
