I'd probably sit tight right now.

I know the list isnt great, but I have a free slot resulting from a trade...

I guess I could just claim Kershaw and NOT drop Edwin Jackson...

Any other thoughts?

Well I like Dejesus and Putz as depth better than having Edwin Jackson. Putz is more valuable but you don't have a lot of the bench offensively so you might get more use out of someone like Dejesus.

Its a standard 5x5 non-keeper (H2H).

My plan: Drop Edwin Jackson for Kershaw off of waivers
Pick up Kelvim Escobar and put him on the DL
Pick up someone from the list (I like to go with a small hitters bench and maximize my pitchers)

I was leaning towards Putz or Zimmerman...Or I could just keep Edwin Jackson

Well take a shot on Zimmerman and see how he looks in his first couple of real starts. MR tend to get undervalued in H2H leagues anyway so chances are someone like Putz will still be there if Zimmerman doesn't work out.

Escobar to DL, then Zimmerman.

first move is what some have allreayd said. Escobar to DL leaving you another spot.

some of the other names are interesting. DeJesus could be nice, 10+/10+ but seeing you allready have Spils on your bench theres no sence getting another similar type player.
Cantu has 2B eligibility? i think you meant 1B/3B. 2B eligibility would be huge lol.
Kubel is probually the best of the 4 OF.. but none of the names really jump out to me. Andy LaRoche has done well in the minors and maybe could finally produce at the major league level. if its a free spot picking up him could be decent.
of the pitchers, the only one that would be interesting is Zimmerman.
i think it would be a toss up between LaRoche and Zimmerman.
i think Zimmerman is the way to go.
