What is a redrafter league?

Followup Q:
What strategies and tactics would differ from a regular standard 10 team 5x5 Roto with 1 day waivers, 198 games of SP, and unlimited trades and waivers?

redraft league is basically what we call a non-keeper league (redraft because we would be drafting every year). if a league is not a keeper league, it's a redraft league. so you wouldn't need to change your strategy from a standard league.

There is a slight difference in strategy between keeper and redraft leagues.

In keeper leagues, a player's ADP will creep up if he's young and talented. The more players you can keep, and the longer you can keep them, the more youth and talent is worth. The opposite is true for older players.

nothing, really. In a keeper players are valued slightly differently based on age and potential but it's nothing extraordinary. For instance in a keeper Evan Longoria would probably be a first round pick whereas in a competent redraft league he would never be taken before the second round.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I see what you mean about values in general. But if a young and talented player goes in the first three rounds, he is probably not eligible to keep because most leagues have a 3 round price to keep, no? So I don't see why a guy like Evan would become more valuable, unless their was no round penalty for the keepers.
