Yea I agree he is likely more valuable regardless. I was just throwing that out there because being in the #2 hole bumps his value quite a bit and I personally expect him to be a fixture at #7 unless Castillo falls apart again.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I'm dropping Arroyo for Murphy. I'm last in the waiver order anyway, so I'm putting in the waiver claim to force anyonw who wants him to use their waiver claim to get him.
I read an article yesterday on Murphy, it said he's likely be dropped to the lower end of the order against lefties to allow Castillo to bad 2nd vs. the southpaws.
I would grab him for Dickerson, McCutcheon, looks to make the team but I dunno about playing time, I would use him to find another 3B option for your team since Mora is old and Blalock is injury prone
I wound up adding Murphy and dropped Dickerson. I am going to hang on to McCutcheon as long as possible to see if he makes it up.
As for the CI's I understand. this was an auction draft and I wound up blowing most of my wad on the OF, Webb and Papelbon. Mora was awesome in the 2nd half last year; hopefully he can keep that up for a while this season.
Manuel went on record today saying that Murphy would regularly bat 2nd.
