Webb for Cain/J Sanchez/ Skipworth

Postby uk_bosox » Sat Mar 28, 2009 6:44 pm

Hi

Am I giving up too much to acquire Webb?..It's a mixed league, very deep with 24 teams with 5 SP per week...Cain is arguably my best pitcher..My other pitchers are

Kawakami
Penny
W Rodriguez
D Cabrera
S Fieldman
G Smith

That's a good price for the elite talent in Webb.

ER - Earned Runs -1 point
HA - Hits Allowed -.5 points
HD - Holds 2 points
INN - Innings 2 points
K - Strikeouts (Pitcher) 1 point
L - Losses -5 points
NH - No-Hitters 10 points

I don't think there would still be an offer if Sanchez wasn't included.

I think because you get penailzed for losses then taking the guy that will get you fewer of them along with the same # of wins as both is good (even though you're taking a hit in Strikeouts).

so pretty much everything. my hangup would be the bottom of your rotation. im good with kawakami and wandy, and penny if he's healthy -- but i wouldn't touch your bottom three guys with a 10-foot pole.

My assumption would be that penny does hit the dl at some point, and when it happens you are down to webb, kawak, and wandy and two (no offense) scrubs.

that's why keeping cain and sanchez would help. I would say both are better than your bottom guys every day of the week.

just my two cents.

take a look at mine?
