Postby philcore » Sat Mar 28, 2009 5:44 pm

I have been offered Pujols for my morneau and Dan Haren. it's 12 team yahoo, h2h, tons of cats. Forget the cats, can i lose Haren in this deal? My other SP's are

liriano, dempster, volquez, gavin floyd
my rp's are wood, gregg, fuentes

FA SP's are buehrle, aaron cook, armando galarraga, fausto carmona, volstad, kuroda, hughes, meche

Ughhh...I am not sure I would do that trade. The book is still out IMO on Liriano and Dempster so I do not have a whole heck of a lot of trust in them yet.

Really like Liriano and Dempster this year and well, Pujols is Pujols...I say you'd be getting a nice deal here.

It's a good deal only because you're getting the best player in baseball, even if it will leave your pitching a bit weaker. Meche should do fairly well.

In your eyes, does the difference between pujols and morneau equal dan haren? Personally, I would say no because i think liriano's past and different way hell have to pitch make it pretty risky to have as a number 1.

edit: agree with above, meche.

bad deal for you... as good as pujols is, youd be giving up a great bat who WILL hit for more power this year and a legit #1 fantasy pitcher which you wouldnt have if you lost him. I understand that pujols is the best player in the game but i just think thats too much to give up.
