Expectations for Garret Anderson?

Postby pmatt » Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:46 pm

OK so I drafted Garrett Anderson with my last pick in a 12 team H2H and I'm wondering if he was the best player to take.
Positionally my team is solid so all I'm looking for is a solid utility player.

Here's the other guys I've considered dropping him for:

OF (MIN) Denard Span, (KC) Coco Crisp, (KC) Jose Guillen, (OAK) Jack Cust, (NYM) Daniel Murphy, (TEX) David Murphy
DH (CLE) Travis Hafner,
3B (SDG) Kevin Kouzmanoff,
1B (CLE) Ryan Garko, (COL) Todd Helton

My 1B and 3B are Delgado and Cantu'.

So with so little seen out of Anderson thus far what do you think guys?

It's a points league. So I need a well rounded player.

Here's the hitting points:

Stat Category Value
R 1
H 1
2B .50
3B 1.5
HR 3
RBI 1
SB 1.5
CS -1
BB .5
K -.5
GIDP -.5
E -.5
CYC 15
SLAM 5
OFA .5

That's not a bad pick at the end of the draft but I don't expect much from Anderson- I would take Dan Murphy, Denard Span, Coco Crisp and Helton over him anyway.
