I'm torn between keeping either Johan Santana or Carlos Lee right now. We are allowed two keepers and I'm already keeping Lincecum who I drafted in the 10th round. Who should my other keeper be?

This is a standard yahoo head to head league with 8 teams. I also already know that I have the first overall pick in a standard snaking draft.

2. (14) Johan Santana
5. (35) Carlos Lee
6. (46) Nick Markakis
9. (67) J.J. Putz
10. (78) Tim Lincecum
12. (94) James Shields
16. (126) Vernon Wells
21. (163) B.J. Ryan

What really hurts is that I drafted Longoria in the 22nd and had to drop him before he was called up last season.

and just for fun, these are the other players being kept.

Granderson, Soto, Francisco Cordero, Rick Ankiel, Lidge, Chamberlain, Morneau, B Roberts, Pujols, ManRam, Berkman, Hamels, Pedroia, Lester.

Does it make a difference for you which round they were selected?

Ummm....Prince Fielder would count as a 17th rounder? There's your choice.

I lose my draft pick for the round on the players I keep. So for Lincecum, I'll be getting him in the 10th round this year. I removed Fielder because he was my keeper last season and I forgot to remove him from the list.

I'd go Lee in the 5th round then. I think his value isn't that far from Santana's, not three rounds.

Well Lee for a 5th round is really good value. You can make an argument for Santana but it's H2H so I probably wouldn't.

Great, thanks for the help guys. I originally had Lee down but was having second thoughts and wanted to double check. I wish I wouldn't have dropped Longoria last year, it would have made my decision a lot easier.
