First, it doesn't matter whether Kent will be on the board or not in the second round, the Unit is the better choice.
Yes, Soriano has been good for 2 years running, but he was only GREAT (i.e. top 5 pick material) last year. Two years ago his numbers were very good, but not first round material.
Finally, yes Vlad swings at everything, but he hits it. His 70 K's, 84 BBs and .336 AVG. in 614 ABs point out that he has a MUCH better idea of the strike zone, and how to hit in general, than Soriano's 157 K's

(for the record, the sixth most strikeouts in all MLB last year), 23 BBs and .300 Avg in 696 ABs indicate.
Soriano still lacks control, and pitchers *may* be able to take advantage of that this year (definitely not a certainty, but at least a possibility), whereas Unit has owned MLB pitching for three years (and was a close second to Pedro in '99).
