[quote="yankeekd25"]Standard 5x5.
1. (3) Albert Pujols 1B (no brainer with 3rd pick)
2. (18) Evan Longoria 3B (very very solid at 18, but might should be looking for an ace)
3. (23) Manny Ramírez OF (understand the pick, but I definitely would have grabbed an ace here)
4. (38) Álex Rodríguez 3B (great value for 38)
5. (43) Brian Roberts 2B (can't believe he was still there, should had 2 SP by now)
6. (58) Chad Billingsley SP (finally, but is he an ace?)
7. (63) Francisco Liriano SP (hopefully he fully returns to his complete potential)
8. (78) A.J. Burnett SP (not sold on him, but you had to get a 3rd SP)
9. (83) Magglio Ordóñez OF (excellent value, not sure why folks knock him as he's steady)
10. (98) Stephen Drew SS (great upside out of the Shortstops left at this point I'm sure)
11. (103) Bobby Abreu OF (wow you got a steal, he'll be very productive with the Halos)
12. (118) Joey Votto 1B (should get better in true soph year)
13. (123) Derek Jeter SS (can you say trade bait?)
14. (138) Nelson Cruz OF (drinking the water eh?, hope your right..if so great value)
15. (143) Raúl Ibañez OF (very consistent...no worries)
16. (158) Chris Carpenter SP (he could be your ace at the very least he will be your #2)
17. (163) Chien-Ming Wang SP (another great selection, easing concerns over SP)
18. (178) Matt Wieters C (wow 178 really?, do your league owners do any research LOL)
19. (183) Josh Johnson SP (having a great spring and had a solid 2nd half last year)
20. (198) Joey Devine RP (well you've conceded saves basically, oh well there's worse things)
21. (203) Chad Qualls RP (untested)
I would trade Jeter to shore up either your RP corps or bring in another solid starter. I would not move Carpenter or Wang unless you're able to upgrade for a big time ace. That would probably necessitate trading AROD and I don't think I'd do that since you got him for a song. Great draft though.
Thoughts on mine?
