Hey Genie, yahoo's "add when player gets called up"

Question about Yahoos! new, "Add player when they get called up to the Majors."

Wieters isn't available to get drafted which makes sense considering he'll be sent down. However, Porcello is still available even though he hasn't played in the majors to my knowledge. Is there a reason for this?

Also, what happens when a player gets sent down, say Buchholz or Wood, do they get removed from the player pool?

He was placed on Detroit's roster, per our official feed. Hence his status in such leagues. This is distinct from "has played in the majors".

We do not remove players from the pool when they lose roster status.

Well in one league where Adding players was set to "add whenever they become available" I was able to draft wieters

In my other league set to "add when player gets called up to the Majors", wieters wasn't there. I got #1 waiver, i didn't bother drafting a C. H2H league so I'll wait to see what catcher starts off hot and pick him up as a place holder till wieters gets called up.

Also, guys like Jordan Zimmerman, Trevor Cahill, and Tommy Hanson weren't available for draft which made sense.

You guys should include everyone in the pool like ESPN does, that way if we're drafting a keeper league I could stash Pedro Alvarez etc. on my roster.

Can that setting be changed post-draft? My commish is trying to change it and says that it is not available to change at this point. What gives? Are we stuck with it for the season?

It cannot be changed post-draft. If it could, you could have all sorts of players drafted that would then become invisible when the commish made the switch.
