Tough Keeper Q: Wright, Ramirez, Sabathia, Kinsler, & Bruce?

Postby fantasynewbie08 » Thu Mar 26, 2009 4:18 pm

My League:
10-team, H2H Keeper.
Cats: AVG, TB, R, SB, HR, OBP, RBI;
WHIP, K, SV, K/BB, ERA, W, QS.

I have to choose 5 Keepers. Here's my team (minus players I would never consider keeping):

C:
1B: Berkman (1B,OF)
2B: Kinsler
3B: Wright
SS: H. Ramirez
OF:
OF: J. Bruce
OF: A. Soriano
Util: Votto (1B, OF)

(+6 Bench)

P: Beckett
P: Sabathia
P:
P: Matsuzaka
P:

BN: Ervin Santana
BN: Chamberlin
(+4 bench spots)

Right now I'm leaning toward keeping Wright, Ramirez, Sabathia, Kinsler, and Bruce.

Still, it's tough for me to leave guys like Berkman, Votto, Chamberlin, and Soriano behind. Also, I'm not sure whether I should be keeping two pitchers.

Does anyone think it would be a huge mistake to have those 5 as my keepers? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I will gladly help in return.

I would definitely keep Berkman or Soriano ahead of Bruce. I think your first four are pretty automatic, although you could convince me to drop CC from the list and keep only hitters.

In a 10-team league, I think there is more than enough pitching to get away with keeping zero or 1 pitcher only.

I would go Hanley, Wright, Kinsler, Sabathia, and Soriano.

You should definitely not keep two pitchers...and if you really want to keep Bruce I'd keep him over CC, not Soriano. Pitching is deep this year...especially in a 10 team league.

It's H2H so I personally would not be keeping 2 pitchers. It would be hard to leave Joba behind but of course Sabathia is the obvious choice. Now what I would do is based on my opinion the Kinsler is overrated: Ramirez, Wright, Soriano, Berkman.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

agreed with this statement... id go CC, HanRam, Wright, Berk, Soriano and leave Kinser behind... i think in a 10 team you can find a good quality replacement in the draft, and you would already have the top 2 players at their respected positions in HanRam-SS and Wright-3B and have the 2 other great producers in Soriano and Berk...

help me out...
