I would not do this. I think JJ will have a good year this year. Plus with Furcal as your SS you should have a backup just incase he gets inj. Butler is a good player but has not done anything yet.

I don't see anything wrong with trading Hardy but I think you would be underselling him for Butler.

No don't do it JJ hardy is a better player you could get much more for him.

Agree with others, Hardy is worth more than Butler. Who else is on his roster?

Suggestions on who would be better than Butler? Here are some players he might be interested in trading...

Butler, Kotchman, Casey Blake, Burrell, Dye, Griffey. I think Butler is the best out of all those guys except maybe Dye.

Hardy is a 2nd tier quality SS, you should def. get more than Butler. Burrell or Dye might be a little closer.

I gota go with the majority here and say don't do it...Butler has done little in almost every oppurtunity that he has had and they gave him plenty
