just trying to get the best possible players on my team right now.......if i did this trade i would need to find a ss thru trade or just pick up orlando carbrea, elvis andrus,jason bartlett,or christian guzman. i would also try to trade a couple of my closers.
ive been offered matt kemp and jenks for mauer and young.

Well,
I like the idea of getting rid of mauer absolutely and getting Kemp would be great. It would leave you weak at SS but you could get by with some of those players lister. I think napoli is a more than adequate replacement for Mauer and he might even outperform mauer this year because of Mauers injury. Id do it, and thanks for the help on mine

I say do it as well...Mauer is a big question mark and Michael Young is nothing special. You are getting the best player in the deal by a wide margin in Kemp and Jenks would allow you to trade a closer or two to upgrade at SS.
Help with my Damon and Nolasco for Granderson trade?

I like it. You get the best player in the deal in Kemp while getting a very solid closer. Yes, Young will weaken you, but honestly, is it that hard to replace .290 10 hr 10 sb? Yeah, he'll get runs and Rbi, but the rest is easy. Hell, Khalil Greene might do that now that he's out of Petco. Even still, what's important is the aggregate and Kemp should make up the difference.
