Obviously we would need to see both teams involved to be able to evaluate if it was a good trade, but just in terms of fairness I would its pretty evenly matched. Personally I would rather have Rollins/Pence just because Harden is such a huge injury risk. It really all depends on the individual teams though so it's hard to say since we don't know what their needs are. It's not lopsided enough to be vetoed though.
I think most people would not make this trade BUT if Harden stays healthy and produces to potential (I know, BIG IF) he could win this trade. So no it's not so horrible or league-unbalancing that I would veto and I agree with the notion that unless there is something shady going on, you should let managers do what they wish.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Why would anyone trade Rollins (MDP 11.05) and Pence (MDP 81.63) for Harden (MDP 106.20) and Hardy (MDP 105.80)? If you went to 100 experienced managers, all 100 would take Rollins/Pence. Of course the Harden/Hardy side may win. You can say that about any trade. It could be Hardy for HanRam, and Hardy may be the better SS this year.
Sure you can say that about any trade BUT it makes a lot more sense here. If people had more confidence in Harden's health he would be a 2nd round pick. This is not some scrub. This is a pitcher who could easily post first round production.

So you'd be cool with a Rollins for Harden trade in one of your leagues?
What do you mean would I be cool with it? I would have no choice. I play entirely in competitive Cafe leagues w/o veto systems. Managers get to make their own decisions. If anything I'd be pissed I wasn't the one who got in on the deal, which is usually why most people veto anyway.

I've been in cafe leagues the past couple of years. We both know that not only would this trade not be accepted in a cafe league, the sender of the trade would probably be publicly ridiculed. I'm not pissed I didn't get the deal. Not my personality. I don't see a lopsided trade and think, gosh I wish I knew that owner was an idiot so I could rip him off first.
I wouldn't veto unless it looks like collusion, sounds like that isnt.
If he can afford to give away those two, then more power to him. Just because it is unfair it shouldnt get veto'd.
Our FFB league got nasty about trading and I wont play with em next year unless theres no league veto or trades are turned off. If the league allows trading, then let them trade.

IDK. I actually see more 'questionable' trades in highly competitive leagues because people are more aggressive, willing to follow their own opinion, rather than be married to consensus, such as MDP, or caring about public ridicule.
