I like the move. Jones has been on a tear in spring training and Maholm will be solid from day 1. If you have a DL spot, pick escobar back up and stash him there. If not, no one is gonna grab him once they see he is out for a bit. Matsui is starting to slow down and Jones is climbing. Look for his stats to really explode once Weiters is called up and that lineup poses multiple threats.

Oh, by the way, he also guaranteed that he will steal 50 bases this year. Not sure what you can take from that but there ya go.
