Need for HR's?? Leave a link....WHIR

I'm in a 10 Team standard scoring (5x5) H2H league through Yahoo. We just drafted this past weekend and i'm looking to get a little input on a specific strategy i used to draft my Offense. Instead of looking for a one dimensional POWER guy i went for the multi tool player that could net me 20+ HR's. Let me know if you think it paid off. I'd take comments on the pitching as well, although no major stratgey involved with drafting that.

i think your strategy as well. i am new to FB but thats kinda what i went for in my team. i mean you could have 2-3 guys to supply all your HRs but what happens when one of those goes down. you lose a major part of your team.

when you have say 5 guys that are gonna put up 120 hrs, compared to 3. you can more easily plug in a guy off the ww and lose maybe 5-10 hrs, compared to losing 25-30 if you get what im trying to say.

I think you pulled it off nicely. The biggest concern with a strategy like that you can't afford to have many, if any, non productive slots in your lineup. You don't have any I can see and should be able to fill all categories. Your pitching should be very strong and you should be in for a very good year.

I think in a Roto league you might run into issues, but since this is H2H I think you are just fine. I wouldnt make any major changes to that lineup, I think you will win quite a few weeks in the power department.

I agree with Padrino's post......if one of your players gets hurt you still have many others that can still hit around 20 HR as opposed to losing a stud HR to injury, which could cost you a lot of homers. I think your strategy is a very effective one....
