Sorry to sound redundant, but I like Shoppach here also. He'll probably hit for the best average of the bunch. I'm also high on Hernandez this year, but if I had to pick one, it'd be Shoppach. Thanks for the help on mine!
As a second choice, I like Pudge. He'll hit second after Matsui, and before Berkman and Lee and should have a good year in the short porched Houston ballpark.
I'll jump on the Shoppach bandwagon here as well, however if he faulters just pick up Pudge (I guarantee he will still be an available FA down the road.) As we all know catcher is the weakest spot in the fantasy lineup, if you don't grab McCann or Russell Martin (pass on Mauer,) you can really just hold out and try for a bunch of other guys who will put up similar numbers and most likely be available via free agency.
This is H2H? Shoppach. But if BA is the primary concern than I would go with Pudge.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
