Now that he's won a spot in the rotation, one that I was kind of hoping for, I'm wondering what everyone thinks about him as a pitcher this year?

He posted solid numbers in his debut last year and he was always a control guy over his career.
4-0 24 inn. 15k/6bb 2.62 1.08

I thought it was nice to hear since he wasn't the favorite coming into ST to come out on top. I'd peg him as a sleeper in the deeper leagues to help you with your ratios. I would expect him to improve is k/bb with more innings thrown too. Only 25 years old.

i'll go along with the replies on this topic. he's someone i am watching farely closely in my dynasty league, but other than that he doesn't have much worth. he got roughed up today by the angels 3 ip 5 er 3 hr's, which trumps my interest in dropping viciedo for him in my dynasty league. he's worth watching and if he has success he could be worth a flyer, but he doesn't project to have strong k's..so limit your expectations.

He's probably one of those pitchers that is better in real life than in fantasy. Still, if he can get some wins he could have value. I doubt he has any fantasy value this year and few years after that probably.
