Which would you rather have A or B?

I say B but its close. I don't understand the "its not even close" comments

let me clarify -
i had shields near the top of my 3rd tier and felix a few spots under. I had vazquez in the middle of my 3rd tier, and 'cisco at the top of the 4th tier. to me, that would make it "not close." it's scary, i think, because we all saw what 'cisco was capable of, and if he repeated that, then you'd be kicking yourself. but that's the chance you take w/ trades.

definately A. liriano is set to become one of the top fantasy starters IMO, vazquez gets mad k's, and ethier hitting in front of manny...look at his second half stats last year.

Vasquez over Felix
Ethier over Hawpe who struggles versus lefties.

Side A projects to about $6 more earned.

Little extreme on my part, but I would rather have all three over the other three, which makes it somewhat not close.

I love Ethier and if this is a keeper league, he will be a stud in the future and will guarantee to have lots of runs being behind Manny.

I'd take Javier over Felix(both fairly young, but Felix has never had a winning season)

Liriano is a flat out stud. Yes, he had surgery and Shields is on the rise, but Liriano hit stride as the season went on, by finishing 6-1. Yes, people cast him out for the slider not having as much kick on it, but his changeup is much better and he hasn't lost any velocity.

If I had to choose, I would pick Group A WELLLLLL before Group B.

My rankings have:

Liriano ($21), Vasquez ($20) and Ethier ($15)

Shields ($23), Feliz ($18) and Hawpe ($13)

So with my rankings, team A is +$2.

I agree that Shields is the safest of the pitchers and is a stud. But Liriano looked electric at the end of last season and Vasquez is a very underrated pitcher who will get you a lot of K's. Ethier over Hawpe made the difference for me. I still ilke side A.

My first instinct is to stick with A because the matching are very similar. However Liriano's injury scares me.
