Agreed. BP is the only thing I'd buy.

I understand the logic of its free info and why should one pay for it. On the other side it is a very helpful tool when getting a reasonably accurate rankings of all players. I use fantistics and ALWAYS finish in the top 3 in a 14 team league that pays out about $2300 for 1st, thus it has paid for itself many times over. Now on Fantistics you can manually change any stat which I do to about half of all the players then it recalculates there "value" of the player, nice tool in my opinion.
I believe it does help, maybe an argument would be it is cheating and I wouldn't really disagee with that notion either.

Thanks for the feedback. What can I say I like to read about baseball real and imagined, but have a schedule that doesn't allow me to explore the web as often as I would prefer; thus, for me services like BP/Baseball HQ/Fantistics and the like help in that regard.

I don't know much about baseball HQ other than the book but fantistics is pretty useful from the one year I paid for it. I decided not to renew because as others have said I can get the info for free elsewhere, it just isn't packaged quite as nicely. Now if fantistics improved their draft software I could almost see paying for it, but as it is I didn't find it very useful outside of the projections which I do on my own.

Yeah you could buy like 50 houses in Detroit for that.
