Rank these hitters for 1st post-keeper pick - whir

12 team H2H league
I keep Braun, Wright, Soriano, Sizemore & Liriano. 2 extra IF & OF positions on team.
I get to draft one of the following:
B Roberts
Manny
Markakis
Kemp
Youkilis
Rios
Martin/Soto
McLouth
Those are the top available, and i get 3rd pick.
Only 1C position per team so wasn't going to draft a catcher.
Who would your top 3 be.
I'm thinking:
Manny
Markakis
Roberts.

Thoughts?

I would have to go Manny for this season. If you think there's a chance you'd keep one of them then Kemp or Markakis.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Manny
Markakis
Kemp
Youk

As for catcher, get Pablo Sandoval in a later round. He is the up and comer and will hit third for the Giants. He batted .345 last season in the few weeks he played. He should be the real deal and will probably only have catcher status this year. He is C/1B/3B eligible.

Manny is a question mark. you could call this a 1 year contract because he could opt out after this season, so maybe that makes Manny motivated all season?
he had 153 games in 2008. before 2008 he hadnt played that many games since 2005. both 06/07 he played 130/133 games. seeing that he is now 36 years old im not sure you can be guaranteed that he plays 150+ games. he could miss games here and there with injuries. theres also no DH in the NL for him to only hit, so hes in the OF all the time. hes allready missing ST games with a bad hammy.
with that i think i would have to rate Kemp higher than Manny.
i would go Kemp 1st.
then i even have to think about wheather i like Manny or Markakis. if Markakis is running and gets more SB like he did in 2007 i think id have to rate him higher than Manny.

Kemp
Markakis
Manny
