Well you got two pretty good ones, so I would go with Motte. He has had a really good spring going 4 for 4 in saves.
C-C.Ianetta 1B A. Pujols 2B D. Pedroia SS M. Tejada 3B C. Jones LF C. Quentin CF C. Granderson RF J. Elsbury Bench-ARod, C.Delgado, H.Pence, A. Jones, M.Derosa, A. Ethier, J.Mauer.
After reading this article, I forsee Motte as the closer in STL. I recently dropped Lindstrom for Motte and I also have Gregg(who will close but on short leash). Chris Perez is a great talent but his arm problems make LaRussa weary of using him in the 9th. Franklin is OK and thats about it. Motte has been auditioning well this spring with 5 saves. Also, I believe the fact that he is a converted position player decreases his chance of arm injury. I am a firm believer in the idea that each pitcher can only throw so many pitches before his arm begins to break down. Motte has a "fresh arm", a great mentality, and great stuff to back it up. He misses a lot of bats. Don't shy away from taking him. I think he is the safest option for you long-term.

I like Lindstrom out of this bunch.....Sure Motte has had a great spring, but there still is PEREZ hanging around, etc. And the Cubs situation isnt any clearer, with Marmol and Gregg.
