I had the 12th pick (terrible slot) so what do you guys think? I got screwed at 1B and SS because some guy took Votto in the 6th (Yahoo rankings) and Drew in the 5th. I decided to go for a strong OF and top SP. Overall analysis? Do you think I need to make some trades? Thanks and WHIR

That is a real strong rotation. I Like it. same with some nice closers too, Motte has been lights out in the spring, and Bell and Capps are really underated. Due to the teams they play for.

I wouldn't worry about 1B, (Delgado and Loney) should do well there, being a deep position, HOWEVER I think you need an upgrade @ 3B, Cantu isnt a sure thing, with McPherson finally making a push to the Big's. I would try to make a deal here, and shore up the 3B position, as I mention to someone already on these boards. I think Andy LaRoche is ready to bust out, it wasn't to long ago that he was a top prospect in the Dodgers system. SO that could be a cheaper fix, cause I bet he is on your waiver wire.

excellent pitching staff, closers too, I wouldnt fret about 1B between Delgado and Loney you might be suprised, definately though SS is weak, I would use Jimenez as a trade chip for another SS

I just dont see a SS that I want who is worth giving up a known quantity. It is almost impossible to trade for the big 3...Im not sure what Drew or Tulowitzki will do and Yahoo ranks has them overrated IMO

As far as 3B, I dont see many to target except maybe Aramis Ramirez...I guess I could try to get him for Felix, Voltron, Hart, or McLouth..

I like the team, especially the pitching. I also think your weak at SS and 3rd. I think you can get by with the guys you have on 1b. I would try and trade Holliday IMO I just don't think his numbers are gonna be as good in Oakland. I would try and trade him or package him for an upgrade at 3rd or SS.

I definetly do not like your offense, though your OF are solid. Your pitching staff on the other end however is excellent. I might package one of your pitchers + Cantu for a better 3B.

Solid team! You may want to take a look at Josh Fields as a bench replacement for Cantu'. I don't like Pelfrey a whole lot but he's fine for a bench spot. Other than that, you're ready to go!
