Honestly, I don't know much about Maholm. I know the Pirates are awful though. Zimmerman is supposed to be a beast. I've heard a lot of good things about this kid. I think I'd go with him just strictly based on the hype and High ceiling.
Ok, now that I've actually looked at Maholm, I can say he is pretty good. Dude had 19 quality starts last year. Impressive along with a decent ERA and k/9. GO with Maholm.

Maholm is a solid talent with a full year in the bigs under his belt. Zimmerman may not even make the rotation if they feel he needs more refinement. Maholm is the safer and better option by far. Please help me: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=373562
In a 12-team, unless its with a SUPER prospect guaranteed to be starting most of the year, you HAVE to go with the person who has a position and time under his belt. Go with Maholm.

Please let me know who you think is better and why

thanks
apparently people don't read the post wellwhen basing their decision and going on the hot prospect (they are prospects for reason) he needs a player for this year that will help in the cats mentioned above
Maholm will get 200+ innings, I doubt Zimmerman gets 150 Innings, Plus Mahoolm doesn't walk that many batters, and will help with CG and SHO more than Zimmerman, since both play for $hitty teams their W/L will be about even, The only stat Zimmerman has a advantage is K's, but then again we need the whole picture (roster), to see who would fit better, If your pitching is loaded with players similar to Maholm (finesse types) then a power pitcher like Zimmerman may be beneficial, but if your staff has alot of power pitchers then Maholm would be better.
