yes it would be if you talking about Murphy right? Well to me Jones is a much better player and has more upside then Murphy does for sure Murphy should have a nice season but not what Jones brings to the table.

I am certain that Manuel's talk of Murphy in the 2-hole was coach speak intended to light more fire under Castillo. He has been using the media to manipulate Castillo all spring IMHO. I fully expect the Irish Hammer to be batting 7th when the season starts.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

if Murphy was guaranteed regular playing time, but he could lose time to Tatis. even full playing time Murphy this season i dont think he gets as many HR/RBI as Jones. Jones could get 20+ HR with 15+ SB or more SB if he runs more. i would atleast expect 15 HR/10 SB with potential for more. in 2007 at AAA Jones had 25 HR in 101 games. he has more power potential than Murphy.

I agree, Jones is the better player...Just not because he is in a better lineup...

I think Tatis is locked up as the RH bench option so unless Murphy craps the bed he's guaranteed the playing time. However, even with that said Jones will definitely out-power him.
