Reyes at #12? WTF? Ridiculous that he fell that far. Very nice start to the draft by filling your SS/2B spots with studs. Not a big fan of what you did in rounds 4 - 7. I understand that 3B is not very deep but I think you probably should have waited a bit and grabbed a guy like Beltre, Zimmerman, or Encarnacion a bit later.

As has been mentioned, check out the wire to see if there are any decent closers. If your league is like mine this situation won't kill you but it's certainly an area you should actively be looking to improve.

Votto was a nice pick where you got him.

Your SP has some potential.

Not a bad team overall but I think you could have had a much better draft had you taken different players in rounds 4 - 7.

for your first draft, not too bad. not great, but not disastrous. with reyes falling to 12, i'm guessing this is everyone in your league's first draft? since you're punting sv, i wouldn't be too concerned w/ your relievers.
a word of advice - keep your eye out on the waiver wire. check these boards for up and comers, especially in august/september.
when i first started out, my teams weren't the strongest, but through keeping up w/ the ww, and a few trades that ended up in my favor, that compensated for any issues i might have had w/ the draft.

Nah...It's actually a very competitive league that I had to apply for and got in based on general baseball knowledge...Reyes fell because it is an OPS league so guys like Howard, Tiex, Hamilton, Braun, Wright have tremendous value.....Speed is very underrated in this league. I just don't know in hindsight whether a Kinsler/Reyes core is ultimately going to be worth the sacrifices made at OF, 3B, and other power positions. In an OPS league....power is HUGE....I guess I'll find out...
