What players have you heard of that had LASIK eye surgery in the offseason? It seems logical that anyone who had this could experience slight bumps in stats across the board. It's probably nothing to overdraft players for, but could make the difference if you're torn between 2 guys.

Eesh, Gagne shoots down that theory pretty quickly, haha. I imagine it would help hitters a bit more than pitchers anyway. Morneau got it done as well though.
In my fridge: Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS), Central Waters Peruvian Morning, Bell's Batch 10,000, Dale's Pale Ale, Capital Brewery Amber, New Glarus Moon Man, and Guinness.

I'm not sure it is being updated anymore, but there is a great page over at Rotoauthority a http://www.rotoauthority.com/2009/02/sp ... ining.html with spring training cliches. One of the thing he covers is Improved vision:
* Brian Burres - LASIK surgery * Michael Cuddyer - laser eye surgery * Josh Fields (CHI) - LASIK surgery * Bill Hall - LASIK surgery * Jose Molina - PRK eye surgery * Justin Morneau - laser eye surgery * Freddy Sanchez - wearing contact lenses for first time * Carlos Zambrano - LASIK surgery (maybe)
There are a few things with the New York Yankees that never change. That's pride, tradition, and most of all, we have the greatest fans in the world. -Derek Jeter, 9/21/08 -- last words from old Yankee Stadium
Jason Kendall had it last year, didn't do much for his hitting but he went from maybe the worst defensive C in 2007 to arguably the best in 2008 and he is gunning everyone down again this year. He also changed his throwing mechanics last year which probably has more to do with it~.
