Listening to Baseball today on ESPN. Peter Pascarelli had a rant that the US WBC team was built as an All-Star team more concerned with not hurting feelings rather than a team built to win, a la Japan/Korea.

The tourney doesn't mean as much to the US than to the other countries.

I just don't think anyone cares. The WBC doesn't carry the same weight as the olympics.

also it would be nice if Davey Johnson would get off his butt and take a starter out of the game when he is getting crushed before we are compltely out of the game.....
if he made a switch to the bullpen we could have only been down 3-2 or 4-2....
