Drop Kendall, Griffey, or Helton for Nunez, Ray Motte or?

Postby DukeVBall » Mon Mar 23, 2009 3:48 pm

I already have 4 RPs in a 15 team league. Huff can serve as my backup 1B, if needed. And I have Matsui that can be an OF. Kendall may be good trade bait.

But I can only start 4 RPs, so why the need for 5? I'm thinking Wash & Pitt won't be getting a lot of save chances... so do I drop Helton, Griffey or Kendall for any one of those guys? Maybe try to move Capps or Hanrahan?

Ishikawa (1B), Colon, Contreras, Bonderman, and Buchholz are also on the ww.

Thanks in advance.

I'd drop Kendall and Griffey. If nothing else Ray and Motte should bring more in a trade

Drop Kendall for one of those RP (Motte). Then hold off. Wait for the DL to open, stash Smoltz and your other DL guy to start hte year and youll be set.

Post ww bats.

See you'll be able to stash both Smoltz and Escobar to start the year. I would snatch up Andrus and Rivera (if he gets a full season of bats his homer ratio would lead him to hit about 20-25 homers). And I finally see that happening.

Andrus has a lot of upside, I would trade Jeter or your other SS for help elsewhere.

I'd dump Griffey for Colon first if you have more than two DL slots and then with that last free spot stash Buccholz or just add Buccholz for Griffey.

Drop Kendall & Griffey for Motte & Ray.

Then try to move a spare closer for a SP. (You're going to be down Smoltz, Escobar, & likely Penny too to start the season.)
