Masterson or Villenueva...WHIR

Postby Zhangman1 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 3:36 pm

Need a RP to for some Holds and good Ratios. Should I go w/ Masterson who's having a good ST or Villenueva who had a good year last year but rough ST. Villenueva may also get me some Saves which is always a plus.

For now I'd go with Villanueva since he may get some Saves.

Probably Villanueva--any MR in Milwaukee's pen has more upside than a Boston reliever.

I like Villanueva too for the added saves... if it's k/9 you're looking for, Grant Balfour is a great option although he's a set-up man.

I would say Villenueva as well. Better shot at saves.

Help w/mine?

Villenueva. He should be in a prominent role (top setup man) regardless of Hoffman's health and the other Brewer relievers don't pose much of a threat to him. He should be good for saves early in the season and holds later on (assuming Hoffman bounces back at some point this season).
