Please help me improve my team

[Help Please!]

Well, this is the first fantasy baseball team I have ever had. We did an auction draft and I didn't really have a cohesive strategy. What do I need to improve? We play 5x5 roto with OBP instead of AVG

C - Craig Wilson
1B - Richie Sexson
2B - Placido Polanco
SS - Edgar Renteria
3B - Morgan Ensberg
OF - Carlos Beltran
OF - Bobby Abreau
OF - Brian Giles
Util - Carlos Lee
Util - Larry Walker
Bench - Adam Dunn (is he still worthless if OBP is used?)

SP - Curt Schilling
SP - Javier Vasquez
RP - Eric Gagne
RP - Arthur Rhodes
P - Wade Miller
P - Vincente Padilla
P - John Nathan
Bench - Jose Contreras

Firstly, how many teams in the league?

At first glance I would say you would be competitive. You definately need someone better than Wilson as catcher. See if anyone in your league has 2 catchers at present. Otherwise check the FA pool for someone like LeCroy. I think you can probably do better than Polanco at 2nd as well. I'd personally prefer to take a shot with someone like Hairston Jnr.

I think Dunn definately has some upside with OBP. If you are willing to take a chance on him then I would consider shopping Carlos Lee around for a better Catcher and 2B. I like Lee but I think he is the player on your team who might have the most highly inflated price tag after last year's career year. You have really strong pitching so maybe you could also shop Padilla around for a middle of the road 2B or C.
