I think these 2 are pretty similar players (skill sets) in similar situations. I've heard that Milledge and Jones will bat lead off for their respective teams. My question is this ... who will have the better fantasy season and why?
Milledge has much more experience at the major league level and I think Jones is further away. I'm not sure who will have the better career long-term, but this year I think Milledge's floor is almost Jones' ceiling...

Where did you here Jones would bat lead off? I thought that was Brian Roberts job...

Agree, I would be much more confident with Milledge for this year. I frankly don't get all the Jones hype.
For this year Milledge should have better stats has a chance to be a 20/30 guy. Jones will have decent stats this year and is a better player long term but he wont have as many homers or steals that Milledge will have.
I love AJ and think he's going to be a stud. For this year I'd rather have Milledge, but I expect their BA to be similar, Jones to outhomer Milledge while Milledge outsteals Jones, and runs and RBIs are a crapshoot based on where they hit. If AJ hits second between BRob and Markakis, he could surprise a lot of people.

Exactly, I personally prefer Jones based on his spot in the order.
I agree they're essentially the same player. One advantage that comes with Jones is that he's going MUCH later in drafts. He's theoretically more of a gamble, though with the Nats, EVERYTHING is a gamble!
Manager Manny Acta has named Milledge his leadoff man to begin the year, the Washington Post reports.
Recommendation: "I'm going to be an aggressive leadoff hitter," Milledge said. Bump up his runs and steals projections a bit, and bump down his RBI projection, but overall this should be a positive for his fantasy value if he sticks in the role.
