I disagree with Rollins having less question marks.
Rollins had a weak 2008 and there is no clear indication that he will surpass those numbers.
Utley may have had hip surgery, but he has proven in ST that he is fine and can crush the ball. I think its fairly safe to say Utley will have the better numbers at the end of the year over Rolls, and 2B isn't much deeper than SS.
I'd take Utley. Never was a big Rollins fan. His average dropped last season and he won't get you RBI's or homers. Utley should get you a nice .300 Avg., 30 dingers, 90 runs, 100+ RBI, 15-20 SB and he's a 2B, which is weaker then Short.
I would not take Beltran with that pick.
you can't live the dream, if you don't play the game
I still like JRoll and think part of his problem last year was the lingering affects of a high ankle sprain. I don't think anyone expects his power numbers to get back up to the 25 - 30 HR range again but I think he's still a guy who will give you 15 HR/40 SB and a bunch of R.
Beltran still fills up a lot of categories as well. There is still a lot to like about the guy, obviously, but his power numbers have started to decline and it can't be much longer before the SB start to taper off as well. I can't help but shake the feeling that he's going to have some injury issues this year as well but that's purely speculative and isn't based on anything "real".
All in all I give the edge to Utley here. His production is fantastic and it's at a position where you don't find guys who can put up the kinds of numbers he does. I can understand concern about him being fully recovered from surgery but right now things look pretty good for him.
