All players are injury risks.

Fixed

Would agree but for the most part position players don't go down with injuries that keep them out for a year.

thats true...players never get hurt sliding into 2nd, crashing into a wall or diving for a ball and miss the season with a broken leg, wrist, etc

What a silly premise for a thread ;-7

You might as well get out your injury magic eight balls.

Will Timmoh be hurt?
All signs point to no.

If you honestly think position players carry the same injury risk as pitchers you haven't been paying any attention to baseball.

Rich Harden will blow out his shoulder after he pops both knee caps and gets hit by a bus.

Yeah I mean look at guys like Arod. He is just pretending to be hurt so people will feel bad for him.

last time i heard ....such perfect (best ever) mechanics..... describing a young pitcher was few years ago concerning Mark
Prior after his 18wins season. you all know what happend.
its hard to come up with predictions especially concerning to future. You can calculate the likelhood of an injury but ....you will never know for a certain pitcher. its a game.

Did either of you even read the post I made? The whole "keep them out for the year" must have flown right over your head's. Yes position players get hurt, but when they do it's usually just a month off and usually they can come back and have just about the same impact they had when they left.

Marcum/Neshek/Hudson/McGowan are just a few off of my head that missed damn near the entire year last year because of a significant injury. Can't think of any hitter who had this happen.

Predicting injuries is a waste of time, IMHO.
