Looking for a backup both Greene (StL) and Theriot (ChC) available. Who would you take?

H2H pts league scoring.

Probably Theriot but it would depend on the scoring. Greene should hit more HR but he K's more. Theriot should hit higher and steals more but if CS is a category his value goes down.

How about neither? There must be better things you can do with a roster spot than pick up either of these guys as a backup.

There's a reason they're available and if you really needed one you could pick them up at any point later in the yr.

I took Theriot in my league to warm the bench when Greene was also available.

I'm kind of liking Greene this year but it's really based on nothing more than a gut feeling and the fact that his career road numbers are significantly better than his home numbers. Granted, I wouldn't trust the guy as my starter by any stretch of the imagination but he's one of those guys I'm looking at as a near-the-end-of-the-draft guys that could pay off.

Theriot will be hitting lower in the order this year so will have less AB. He has zero power. He does chip in with some SB but gets caught an awful lot.

I like Greene's 20+ HR potential over what Theriot offers.

Help with mine?

Where would you guys rank Asdrubal Cabrera and Clint Barmes against Greene & Theriot?
