Does this top 25 sound a bit off?

Postby DirtbagsFTW » Sun Mar 22, 2009 11:23 pm

Got the Fantasy Baseball Index magazine and their top 25 seems different than any other I have seen this year. What do you guys think about it?

Combo 5x5

1. H. Ramirez
2. Reyes
3. A Rod (obviously printed before info on him)
4. Wright
5. Rollins
6. Sizemore
7. Pujols
8. Lincecum
9. Bruan
10. Beltran
11. CC Sabathia
12. Ryan Howard
13. Miguel Cabrera
14. Crawford
15. Soriano
16. Matt Kemp
17. Biran Roberts
18. Russell Martin
19. Johan Santana
20. Ichiro
21. Webb
22. Alex Rios
23. Berkman
24. McCann
25. Mauer (also before news of injury)

This just seems like a strange list, anyone else feel the same way?

I would try inconspicuously leaving that magazine in your league mates bathrooms for 'reading' material. Either that or recycle it. :-P

I personally haven't bought a fantasy magazine for about 6-7 years. The info is always outdated and usually I could do better analysis on my own.

good luck ;-D

Here's a note: someone in my league got Pujols 4th, and called it "the easiest #4 ever." I DEFINITELY would NEVER call Beltran top-10. I think he went 3rd round in my 12-man league. Pujols is a definitely top-5, probably a top-3 in most leagues. I wouldn't call Rollins over Lincecum, and Russell Martin isn't even remotely close to Johan. This may have been made and mailed to you by an opponent, because it's nuts.

The list may seem a little off but you dont know exactly what was taking into consideration when made.
