Ian Stewart's PT

I looked around for posts on Stewart, but didn't see any. Anyone know whether or not the Rockies are planning to send him down to start the year, or will he be with the Rox and if so, as an everyday player or part-timer?

I believe I read somewhere that he's got a starting gig, however, noone knows what position he will be covering...i think he might end up like a DeRosa who plays all over the field everyday, enough to get 500 AB's.

He's still a FA in an 11 team draft I had tonight. Right now I've got Figgins at 2nd and I'm already severely hurting for SB's but man is this guy tempting to pick up.

Yes he is pretty much given the 3rd base job, while barmes is at 2nd and Atkins at 1st which leaves Helto a$$ed out, but that can change pretty quick depending on Helton, but in any case Ian Stewart will be at 3rd,2nd or even maybe outfield

helton's been healthy and playing great this spring- i think he takes his job back. there are still some concerns about his health, but don't discount helton or the rockies' loyalty to him-

stewart may end up platooning in LF with seth smith and then occassionally playing 2B and 3B. i think carlos gonzalez begins the season in AAA, and then gets called up and the rockies shift their lineup, and whoever is slumping or injured becomes the odd man out
