I think you made this right move. I'd rather have Aramis than Youkilis and picking up the saves is a bonus.

Why should I drop Wandy nad not Chris Perez? Perez doesn't have the closer job and he's injured.

Why should I drop Wandy nad not Chris Perez? Perez doesn't have the closer job and he's injured.

You can drop Perez too but I have no idea who else you have for options to pick up. Perez could start the season on the DL so you could potentially stash him there (on your DL) to start the season incase whoever the Cards closer is (likely Motte but LaRussa is stubborn and typically leans on veterans so it could be anyone) falters early. You wouldn't have that luxury with Wandy hence me suggesting to drop him first. [If there is a good free agent, I'd drop Perez for him. I'm just saying, Perez may have more value to you than you realize.]
