Which player to select in OF

Postby todsulli » Sun Mar 22, 2009 6:40 pm

In the sixth round of draft which OF would you draft:

Here is what I have so far:
1. Grady
2. Utley
3. Alfonso
4. Roy Halladay
5. Nate McLouth

So I could either go and select the best available left or select a player at 1st

If I go best available its between:
Magglio
Corey Hart
Ryan Ludwick

Or do I fill positions that I need like
Votto ( I was hoping to get one of these in the 7 instead of wasting a 6th round pick)
Pena

Thanks for advice

i would go Hart possible .280 25hrs 25sbs, Ordonez is up there in age but should hit .300 25 hrs, and Ludwick may be a one year wonder, at the most may go .270 25hrs.

Help out with mine?

I'd take Maggs... Safest of the 3 in spite of his age IMO.

Since you have 3 OF already I might want to look at a different offensive option like a 1B, SS or even a pitcher

Hart is the best guy from that list, but it looks like you need guys at other positions.

I ended up picking up Votto in the sixth round which was earlier than I wanted but I needed to fill some of my infield.

So now my roster thru 6th rounds looks like this:

1. Grady
2. Utley
3. Alfonso
4. Roy Halladay
5. Nate McLouth
6. Joey Votto

What direction should I go in the seventh round. Best available offensive player or another position player for 3B or SS or a starting/relief pitcher. The keeper league that I am in is very weird in that 4 of the elite closers have already been taken so I am not sure what direction to go in.

As far as best available still offensively
1. Corey Hart
2. Magglio
3. Ryan Ludwick
4. Abreu
