I can tell you hate the Yankees, I ahd a a auto draft and got A_rod which I traded straight across for Alex Gordon since I can't stand the Yankee, but I do agree as well Cruz may go .300 30hrs and Matsui may go .290 25hrs and will lose playing time with the offensive logjam between OF/1B/DH.

It's not Yankee hatred fueling the choice. If I remember correctly, the papers are saying Matsui won't be able to play in the outfield until June. Looking just at the DH playing time to start the season, I'd expect Posada to spend some time at DH until he shows his shoulder is 100% and I would also expect the Yankees to bring A-Rod along slowly returning from his hip injury giving him some starts at DH. Even when he gets to the point of being healthy enough to play LF, Damon will have the lionshare of playing time due to his leadoff ability and Swisher will also be in the mix for at bats. (Matsui is a non-factor at 1B unless there is a Teixeira injury and even then I'd expect Swisher to pick up that playing time.) I just don't see Matsui being an every day player at any point this season (especially early on while unable to play in the field) and Nelson Cruz will be in the heart of the Rangers lineup daily plus he has youth, health, and upside in his favor.

I would definately drop Matsui for Cruz then at ath point we might only see .280 15 hrs from Matsui

It's unanimous Matsui for Cruz. Just don't expect .300 from Cruz. Possible but not likely.
