This is a Yahoo winner roto league, standard scoring, twelve team mixed.
My roster:
C: Victor Martinez 1b: Albert Pujols 2b: Brandon Philips 3b: Aramis Ramirez SS: Orlando Cabrera OF: Carlos Lee OF: Chrisy Young OF Vernon Wells Util: Brad Hawpe BN: Coco Crisp BN: Delmon Young
SP: Chad BIllingsley SP: James Shields SP: Erik Bedard SP: Scott Baker SP: Anthony Reyes RP: Joe Nathan RP: Jonathan Broxton RP: Matt Capps RP: Manny Corpas RP: Leo Nunez
I would have to drop a player to do this trade. It would probably be Anthony Reyes.
I'm intrigued by the deal--it would give me a solid #3 starter--I consider Baker a solid #4 and Bedard to be a #5 with a #2 upside.
Should I pull the trigger?

Reyes has nice upside I'd cut Nunez he's garbage and only in line for a few saves. that will be cbc if nunez doesn't work out. i just don't see his upside.

I probably would and dump either Nunez or Corpas. One or the other might be available to grab in a pinch. C-Zam is a risky pitcher but worth the reward.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!
Drop Nunez, since Corpas may end up closing ahead of Street in COL.

With Broxton you can grab a lot of points for saves, while your starting pitching is solid enough to get you the top spot or second.
If you trade Broxton you will open up at least two holes in your team. 1 being saves the other being steals. I would wait until later in the season once you have comfy lead in saves to deal Broxton to someone who wants to grab points in saves for a spot where you need to grab some points.
I just dont see this trade improving your team in a roto league.

If I have four full-time closers, I can probably afford to trade one of them.
You're much more impressed with my starters than I am. I have a question mark as my #3 starter and an even bigger one at #5.

Even if your starters dont get into the top spot or second like I said you can afford to wait until later in the season to trade for SP once you have a good lead in saves.
Like someone said Zambrano is risky. You never know when all those red bulls are going to give him a stroke.
In a roto league, I feel you can afford to wait a little bit before you make any big moves.
I would do it and drop Leo Nunez, between Capps and Nathan you should be solid, and to save you the head ache drop Corpas for Motte or Gregg since they are pretty much a lock for the closers gig and Colorado will give it to Street since they gave up alot for him, plus you can't trust colorado pitchers.
I would take that trade and then dump Reyes. Nunez could be in line for a lot of save opps if Lindstrum stays down and Nunez pitched really well before getting hurt last season in KC.
