Utley for Sizemore straight up?

10 team private H2H league. Standard 5X5....

Been offered Sizemore for my Utley. I would then need to pick up Jose Lopez off of free agency to fill my 2nd base position.

Below is my current batting roster:

C - Ianetta
1B - Adrian Gonzalez
2B - Utley
3B - Aramis Ramirez
OF - Carlos Quentin
OF - Bobby Abreu
OF - Nelson Cruz/Justin Upton
UT - Joey Votto

Kind of shorted myself in the hitting categories in the draft...but I am LOADED at SP. But...would the Utley for Sizemore deal be a good one? Obviously Utley to Lopez would be a pretty big dropoff...but he is still a solid 2nd baseman.

Jose Lopez is an undervalued fantasy 2b. He gets no love and yet puts up solid numbers. Much as I like Sizemore and the beast that he could be, Utley still IMHO represents a little more value because of his position. If you could work it out to where you gave him two other players and got back one more and then with the free spot added Lopez I'd do that then.

If you are loaded at SP, move one of them for a OF upgrade. Maybe wait until one of them gets off to a hot start before doing until someone is desperate for a SP. I think you'll have an easier time getting an OF later than you will getting a comparable replacement for Utley.

yeah, position is more value. plenty of sizemore type OF you could go for but far and few 2Baggers at Utley's level.

I agree with previous posters, If your SP is loaded i would look to move them. Lopez is a great pickup if you were to trade utley but i think i would stick with utley over sizemore just because of position scarcity. But ya if your SP is stacked, package one of them with one of ur OF for an upgrade
