Deep dynasty 2b/MI and ww

Postby PopcornScrimp » Sun Mar 22, 2009 11:04 am

I currently have Derosa and Felipe Lopez at 2b. At MI options: I have: Brignac, Tejada

Tried unsuccessfully to land both Utley and Pedroia. The guy with Uggla and Alexei will trade one if he can get a MI back.

My bench is
Gordon, Crawford, Stewart (will he play any MI?), Choo, Flowers, Brig, Schafer, Dominguez, Blaylock and Tejada for pitchers, Pelfrey, Santana, Smoltz, Reyes, McGee, Pelfrey, Carrasco, Davies, Garza and Morales (remember this is dynasty for the reason for the young players).

Ervin will start the season on the DL so I will have a free spot for awhile to grab another 2b/MI.

I might trade for Furcal/Jeter/M. Young. Which one should I go after?

Barmes, Castillo, Wilson, Hill, Guzman, ODawg, Renteria, Kaz, Barmes, Burriss, Getz, Antonelli, Triunfel are available. Who to grab and drop?

For position players: Andruw Jones, Brandon Moss, Juan Rivera and other deep sleepers available make any switches?

For pitchers: Wellemeyer, Moyer, Loshe, Lannan, "The Duke", Blackburn, Olsen, DCab, Kelvim, S. Hill, B. McCarthy, Colon, Marshall, Perkins, Owings, Bergmann, Karstens, Sowers, McGowan (any believers?),

I actually really like Hill. I see him play everyday, and when he's healthy he reminds me of Micheal young. In the pitchers, i guess it depends on your priorities, but if you are looking to win this year, I think Escobar might come back and be dominant for 3/4 of a season. For me, Alexi or Uggla is a coin flip, but certainly either appears at this point to be an upgrade over what you have, though I think Hill might be relatively close to these guys at seasons end.

Thanks for the comments on mine.

Out of Jeter/Furcal/Young I'd trade for Young--for no other reason than durability.

For waiver wire options, I like Kelvim (he's baaaaack) and Kaz.

I would rather have Prince Fielder sit on me than have Andruw Jones for my team--he is DONE.

Would any of you grab Triunfel for anyone on my bench? He shouldn't be on waivers.

I'd pick up Kelvim Escobar to stash on your DL (assuming you have room to do it).

Drop Davies for Lannan. There is no reason to be rostering Davies. (McGowan wouldn't be bad to grab either given it's a Dynasty league and he flashed potential when healthy.) Lannan would help you now and is only 24.

Picking up Kaz Matsui (or Aaron Hill depending on if you need steals or not) as insurance at 2B wouldn't hurt either but I don't think you need it. I don't think you're in rough shape with DeRosa & Felipe Lopez.
