Andre Ethier - Breakout Season?

Can he hit enough fly balls to get to 30 HRs?
If not he might need 600+ ABs.

It would not surprise me if he doesnt become an elite OF this season. He has all the fundamentals to be a .300-.320 hitter 30+ hrs 100 Rbi + 5 -10 SB's
Id buy low on his spring stats if you can

have you guys heard? joe torre has told reporters he's planning on furcal, hudson, then manny. so ethier is not hitting in front of manny it seems. how much does this hurt ethier? and even kemp?

Ethier will start the season at cleanup and will have Kemp, Loney and Blake hitting behind him. Will give him plenty of RBI opps. A great spot for him to hit.

Yes I suppose last year was his breakout - but I think he's still got more in him. All of his BPIs have shown steady improvement across the board and with him batting 3rd in front of Manny, I really think he has a shot to hit between 30-35 HRs this year. Maybe I will be wrong, but I just think there is a lot to like in his skill set.

Eithier hitting 30 hr's is a joke. I'd be more on the side to believe last year was a power fluke. In the minors he had 27 hrs in 1228 total ABS. Thats 2 seasons worth of AB's. I'd be more inclined to believe he hits 15-18 hrs. Though I do believe the Batting average is real.

You would think that.. I did too.. but the fact of the matter is he does not hit lefties well.. .243 career.. 3 hr

His BA is and other numbers are so high because he beats the living hell outta righties... .327 career.. 17hr
