I think in you rformat it HAS to be a big stick. with so many position guys starting you need as many quality guys as possible, so I'd say C.Young (OF), Wells, Werth in that order.

yea that sounds good to me, try to target maybin later on too, he should provide speed, and will be a good keeper. and amybe drew as a late round sleeper, if healthy(big if) he is a solid fantasy player.
your pitching looks solid so far. try to go for nolasco and bedard at some point. but take a hitter next!
I'd also say Chris B. Young for sure - hate his average, but like his potential and even if he continues to hit .240-.250 he will deliver in the other categories. I think he may improve on that BA too, as he hit .267 in the second half last year.
I keep wanting to recommend Vernon Wells, but as a former Wells owner, his streakiness and injury-prone ways drove me nuts. I'd almost be tempted to take Maybin for the keeper upside, he's young but was tearing it up last September. If you want the so-called safe pick you could go Wells 'cause his numbers seem to somehow be there at the end of the year, but if you want risk/reward then Maybin.
None of the other players listed jumped out a ton except Milledge, who is also a good option. Kelly Johnson, Loney, Butler are the other options I like. I just have a feeling Butler is gonna improve upon last year quite a bit...

Take Nelson Cruz. If it were me, I would jump on him with this pick. He's in a great situation and offers serious upside. It looks like you're in the 15th round now and I'd expect other people with the idea to grab him within their next couple picks. His numbers from last season were drool inducing and he's pencilled into the heart of the Rangers order.
If you aren't buying on Cruz and wanted a potentially safer bet here, I recommend Werth, Vernon Wells or Cantu. (I agree with the posters above that you should be focused on best bats available. I just wouldn't take Chris Young here.)
If you feel you need to get a bat, from this list i like Wells and Milledge... but I really like Nolasco and might go with him first and hope I could get Wells or Milledge in the next round.
