Billingsley/Broxton/Chris. B Young for Fielder WHIR

Postby sreill » Sat Mar 21, 2009 9:28 pm

The owner has uped his offer to me and added chris young to his offer. I wont actually use him with my OF being set but I can dangle him as trade bait. Should I pull the trigger on this one? Im ready to, just wanted some re assurance from you guys.

I like the deal, with Bills and Brox your pitching gets a big upgrade and the fellas on your bench can certainly help offensively with the loss of Fielder. And CBY matures at the plate, this could be a steal.

Based on your team, I would make this trade. You are deep enough that losing Fielder won't hurt that much and your SP can definitely use some extra strong arms.

I also think Chris Young could surprise a lot of people, and after a slightly disappointing year in 2008, start to put it together and get some nice numbers in 2009. If that is the case and you are just looking to trade him, I wait until the season starts and he (hopefully) starts to show how valuable he can be before sending out trade ideas.

Fair offer, and based on needs I think it's a must do. Considering right now Gregg and Corpas are likely closing, you need a closer, and Broxton is very good. Bills is a great arm to add to your mix, and though I'm not a Chris B. Young guy, he'll provide good depth and/or be a good trade chip (or make one of your current starting OF a good trade chip). All in all, I like it. Good luck. Help with mine please?

with your squad, you have to take this. you get a huge upg at SP, and CBY is still a pretty good OF. your bench can make up for the loss of Fielder
