Im up in 2 picks, so rank a couple extra if you can please! Best available: Bats: Matt Wieters (really really want to take him if hes there, but i can't and won't carry 3 C), Chris Young ARI, Miguel Tejada, Nelson Cruz, Jayson Werth, Justin Upton (last 3 OFers i listed im really looking at), Conor Jackson, James Loney, Kelly Johnson, Alex Gordon, Jorge Posada, Carlos Guillen, Mike Napoli, Xavier Nady, Jose Lopez, Rick Ankiel Arms: Brett Myers, Aaron Harang, Clayton Kershaw, Scott Baker, Kevin Slowey, Brandon Morrow, Mike Gonzalez, Erik Bedard, Randy Johnson, Huston Street, Ted Lilly, Jered Weaver, Chien-Ming Wang, Gavin Floyd, Heath Bell, Chad Qualls, Justin Duchscherer, Joel Hanrahan, Trevor Hoffman, Jonathan Sanchez, Manny Parra, Fausto Carmona, Ubaldo Jimenez
I know i really really should go for a #4 SP as i don't have a pick next round this is the 7th round (14th with keeper rounds combined) and i don't pick again til the end of the 9th round... but i really would like to think about adding the likes of Young, Werth or Upton... or do yall think i should definitely go with a SP and solidify my rotation before there is really nothing left? i need some help like i say if you could rank a few extra id appreciate it!
Upton, Wieters (then trade McCann for an arm and plug and play Pablo Sandoval until Wieters gets starting gig with O's, at that point move him). I'm also looking hard at Erik Bedard, very hard for a matter of fact. Oops, I see you have Mauer too. You have C cornered. I'd go Upton/Bedard/Wieters in that order. I still like the idea of drafting Wieters then moving Maur and McCann around the league for some better pitchers then are available. I'm not a huge Mauer guy, and he might be a hard sell hurt, but if he starts on DL, stash, then deal. Lot of options, but like I said, I'd say Upton/Bedard/Wieters. Good luck. Help with mine please?
Skip the #4 pitcher cuz with those 3 you can afford to wait to get a 4th. I'd go Upton if you are going for an OF, he has the highest upside of the 3 you listed and I believe will have a breakout year. By the time your next pick comes around a guy like Randy Johnson(who should have a pretty nice year), Bedard(people are shying away from him but was #3 ranked SP a year ago), or Parra(young but will have a very solid year) should still be available and I doubt any of the 3 OF's you listed will be...
Just a ranking
Upton Weiters Kershaw(huge upside) Bedard
If you grab weiters then trade Mauer (you should probably do this anyways) every year people think he will do great then all he does is hit.300 with no other stats. I pulled Chris Young-ARI last year for him...good luck
