By the same token, there's also precedent to say that Torre won't bat Kemp 7th all year. Like I said, Kemp can still be shuffled from time to time to the point he can reasonably get in 90 runs and 80-90 RBI. Hudson is also coming off a year removed from a wrist injury and so, he's no shoo-in to bat 2nd if he struggles early. Given the draft crop around the 3rd or 4th round, Kemp's skill set is good enough to warrant that high of a pick.
i got Kemp pick 31 overall. id like to see Kemp up to the 5th spot behind Manny. one reason i read Torre could want Loney batting 5th behind Manny is the LH(Ethier)/ RH(Manny)/ LH(Loney/ ..but then after that you have all RH bats in Kemp/Martin/Blake. it would be better to go LH/RH/RH/LH/RH/RH and have Kemp at 5 ahead of Loney. i forget where i read it, but apparently Don Mattingly (Dodgers hitting coach) thinks Kemp can break out this season. if he does the Dodgers are going to move him out of the 6 hole.
i dont see the reason so many people love Martin. the only reason he gets so much love is because hes a catcher who can steal. if he was playing at another position he would be borderline waiver wire guy. one of these seasons he is going to steal less than 10 and become alot less valuable.

Is it good you got him in teh 7th round or is it bad that you also passed on him in the 5th and 6th rounds...?

, I don't pay for (2nd round) Beltran/Soriano numbers and end up with Kemp.
