Can someone please explain to me how Kemp is going to justify his ADP?
Kemp is going to be buried in that lineup due to the acquisition of Hudson and the return of Manny. Last year, he hit mostly in the 1-3 hole. This year, he will be batting the majority of the time from the 7th spot in that lineup. What exactly are people thinking in projecting/drafting this guy so high?
20 HR, 30 SB, decent AVG, good RBI. His MDP is 39, doesnt' seem like too much of a stretch for one of the few players in baseball who have 30/30 potential.
I think you're reading too much into Torre pegging Hudson in the two-hole. I don't see Kemp hitting 6th or even 7th as a permanent thing at all, knowing that Torre shuffled the lineup a good deal last year. Granted, this was before Manny arrived, but all that's set in stone is Furcal leading off and Manny hitting 3rd or cleanup.
Whatever the case, I believe wherever he's hitting, Kemp will have his opportunities to run and provide 20-25 HR pop as well. Some will look at his BABIP and K rate and say he's not capable of hitting .290, but I think it's feasible. A third rounder isn't a terrible pick on a possible 5-cat stud.
Odds are pretty good that Hudson, Furcal, Martin and Manny will average 20 games missed between them. There will be plenty of chances for Kemp to bat higher in that lineup even if he isn't pegged in the top 5 hitters to start the year.
Torre fooled with the linmeups a lot last year and even though most of that was due to trying to fit all the OFs in and the injuries, I dont think its beyond him to juggle it when/if needed. He adjusted the Yankees lineups as well. Dont expect to see Kemp or others in nay one set place all year.

His ADP is very site dependant. On ESPN he is going like an OF#1/2 and they have him ranked as the 11th OF while CBS has him listed as the 29th OF. OF around Kemp on ESPN 9. Holliday 10. Manny 11. Kemp 12. Crawford 13. Bay 14. Upton CBS 27. Victorino 28. Ibanez 29. kemp 30. Pence 31. Ethier 32. Chris Young
I don't play Yahoo so I can't qoute their rankings, but what is his true value? Somewhere in between? Probably also has a little higher ranking in a Roto league vs. H2H format. Since he is a contributor in almost every category.

Eh, Kemp's ADP isn't that variable between sites (SD = 5.73). But you are right. CBS ranks Kemp too low, which is bringing down his ADP a bit. BTW - His ADP on Yahoo is about 43, which is midway between CBS and ESPN.
